Ho Tram Beach

Beach near Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Tram Beach, set within the Ba Ria, Vung Tau Province, boasts 10 kilometres of unspoiled waters, fine sand and palm trees. The beach offers a wide range of accommodation options with expansive views of the East Sea, and thatched seafood restaurants close to the Ho Tram fishing village with deck chairs and camping facilities at affordable rates. Thanks to its rather accessible location, Ho Tram Beach attracts locals and tourists looking to soak up some sun whilst vacationing in Ho Chi Minh City.

Accommodation-wise, Ho Tram Beach’s western end is where you can find mid-range resorts that offer day trips to nearby fruit plantation and fishing villages. We highly recommend stopping at the Binh Chau Hot Springs to enjoy a day of relaxing in natural pools and mud baths.

What to See and Do in Ho Tram Beach

If you’re staying at a luxury resort, activities such as fishing, golfing and sunbathing are offered. The Grand Ho Tram hotel houses a grand casino and golf course, which is open to non-guests - be sure to carry your passport if you want to test your luck at the casino, as locals aren’t permitted to gamble.

Seafood restaurants can be found within the Ho Tram hamlet as well, where you can choose from an extensive array of live oysters, octopus, clams, fish, shrimp and crabs. Do note that locals here are usually not fluent English speakers (and most restaurants do not have menus), so we recommend practising some basic Vietnamese or pointing at your preferred seafood. Expect to pay between VND 100,000 and VND 350,000 for a kilogram of shellfish, plus additional cooking charges that cost at least VND 10,000 for steaming and VND 20,00 for grilling.
