Travel to Ninh Binh province to explore Bái Đính, a complex of Buddhist temples featuring the largest bronze Buddha statue in Vietnam. Afterward, explore Tràng An's many hidden caves by boat, navigating the surprising grotto network with a knowledgeable guide.

Get picked up from your hotel in Hanoi and travel to Ninh Binh province. Make a visit to Bái Đính, the largest pagoda in Vietnam, and admire its 500 La Han statues and the 32-foot (10-m) bronze Buddha statue. Eat lunch at a nearby restaurant serving Vietnamese cuisine including goat with elderberry, or a delicious pork bowl.

After lunch, arrive at Tràng An, a UNESCO-listed series of grottoes carved from the region's striking natural monoliths of limestone. Board a small row boat and go on an expedition to explore some of the most interesting caves, including Sang, Toi, Ba Giot, and Nau Ruou, each steeped in mystery and wilderness. At the end of the tour, return to Hanoi and get dropped off at your hotel.
