Nha Trang weather is usually warm and humid for the first eight months of the year. It's a popular destination for sunbathing and enjoying beach activities. The capital city of Khanh Hoa Province, Nha Trang is located on the southern coast of Vietnam. It has 6km of sandy beaches and clear waters. There are also quiet islets surrounding the coastal town.

Summer starts from May until early August. Nha Trang weather is warm with little to no rainfall. That makes it ideal for lounging on the beach, island-hopping, hiking, surfing, and other water-sports. The hottest months of the year are July and August. Avoid scorching heat by planning your holiday before the end of June.

If you plan to travel to Nha Trang during summer, should consider visiting Hon Ba Nature Reserve. Less than two hours away from Nha Trang City, the mountain stands at 1,578 metres above sea level. It enjoys cool climate all year round, making it the perfect retreat from the summer heat.

The best time to visit is between February and May. Nha Trang weather enjoys an average mean temperature between 26 and 27°C. If you’re a diving enthusiast, the peak diving season in Nha Trang runs between January and October. However, the very best time to enjoy clear waters and coral-rich dive sites is from April to August. That's when rainfall is at its lowest in Nha Tang.

Rainy Season in Nha Trang

The annual monsoon period is between September and December. Heavy rainfall can lead to rather violent thunderstorms and typhoons. Room rates are much cheaper due to these weather conditions.
