Ham Tien Market

Mui Ne Shopping

Ham Tien Market, set along Nguyen Dinh Chieu in Phan Thiet Town, is at its busiest between 06:00 and 09:00, where you can see locals haggling for fresh produce and household items. Opened in 2o12, this relatively new market occupies a pale blue building along Nguyen Dinh Chieu Street, where locals and travellers can browse through a wide range of goods without enduring the scorching afternoon heat.

As with any local market in Vietnam, the ground floor is where you can find vendors selling butchered meat and seafood, vegetables, fruits, condiments, and dried foodstuffs. Ham Tien Market is also a great place for picking up prepacked local desserts such as banana and sesame candies, coconut cakes, and peanut brittle.

Visitors can shop for cheap clothes, handicrafts, and accessories, most of which are set on the second floor of the building – just make sure you haggle at least 50% lower than the retail price before making your purchase. Do note that dining options at Ham Tien Market are limited to light snacks and beverages so we highly recommend eating something substantial before making your way here.
