Ngan Dinh Restaurant can be found on the fifth floor of the Windsor Plaza Hotel and serves Cantonese cuisine in buffet style. It is particularly famous for its dim sum and gets packed on weekend lunchtimes. The setting of the restaurant is very nice as it has an elegant, sophisticated interior design and is accompanied by some soothing traditional background music. For people who enjoy dining in privacy there are nine VIP rooms available, with a maximum capacity of ten.
On the menu you will find authentic Cantonese dishes which are prepared by chefs from China. Some of the dishes that are recommended are Peking duck, the extensive dim sum varieties (over 50 different varieties) and suckling pig, which is served full of flavour with a crispy skin and tender meat.
Ngan Dinh Restaurant is a must visit if you love Cantonese food, as in this multi award-winning establishment they know exactly what they are doing. Breakfast and lunch are served between 07:00-14:00 and, for dinner, you are welcome from 17:00 till 22:00.
After dinner make sure you go to the top floor of the Windsor Plaza Hotel as here you find an open air bar from where you have an excellent 360 degree view of Saigon. It is situated in District 5, close to Saigon’s Chinatown, which is a little outside the city centre but definitely worth a visit (it’s around 20 minutes by taxi from District 1).
