Cong Vien Van Hoa Park in Saigon is a big, green quiet park in an otherwise busy city. At this serene place you can sit in the shade on any of the park benches and watch the locals going about their daily routine. Students will be hanging around studying (some might even come up to you to practice their English), friends and couples are chatting or having a snack, while elderly people make use of the exercise equipment.
On the edges of the park you will find a cinema where you can watch the newest movies, several nice coffee shops where you can take a rest, a swimming pool to cool down and some nice restaurants to have lunch or dinner. Especially for couples with young children, this is a nice escape the hectic streets of Saigon as your child can freely run around here without motorbikes driving around. Inside Cong Vien Van Hoa Park you also find a small playground for your child to play. The park has no entrance fee and is located behind Independence Palace.
