Da Nang weather has a tropical monsoon climate with mild temperatures throughout the year. As the third largest city in Vietnam, Da Nang is a popular holiday destination amongst travelers worldwide for hosting several well-known locales such as My Khe Beach, Non Nuoc Beach as well as World Heritage Sites Hoi An and My Son.
The city has two distinctive seasons every year, which is the wet period (September until March) and the dry period (April until August) while its close proximity to the South China Sea allows for average temperatures between 18°C and 34°C.

The highest average temperature is at 35°C, especially between May and September. Da Nang also becomes a popular retreat amongst locals during this period, so expect large crowds and busy traffic.

The best time to visit Da Nang is from February to May. As the skies are sunnier and humidity levels lower during this climate transition period, visitors can easily explore Da Nang City’s attractions on foot or motorcycle taxi minus the scorching afternoon heat. With an average water temperature of 25°C, Da Nang’s beaches are great for soaking up the sun as well as enjoying leisure activities and fresh seafood.
